Introduction  

This web site is solely for the purpose of promoting the design and technical consultancy services, which are offered by Robert Foulds, to the 'self build' and professional client.

An experienced surveyor with a passion for design, is how I describe myself, it is an unusual combination, which allows me to provide an extensive consultancy service. 

My clients range from private individuals to corporate organisations and I have been in sole practice for fifteen years. 

Working from my 'garden office' (see the interior design section), I am able to keep costs to a minimum and maintain a relaxed and approachable manner to my business. 

CGU Insurance plc. are my professional indemnity insurers, and I have thirty years experience of providing design and technical services. 

Located very close to the M1 and M18 motorways and the A1, I can realistically provide a service across the North Midlands and Yorkshire; further-a-field can incur additional expenses, although such commissions are always given serious consideration. 

I base my costs on an hourly rate of £30, plus additional expenses eg. plan copies, Ordnance Survey plans, overnight accommodation, etc. I rarely make a charge for travel costs, but I do charge for my travelling time. If you prefer a fixed fee, and most clients do, then this would be agreed in writing, prior to carrying out the work.
