Conversions

This barn conversion was an absolute pleasure to work on.

Overlooking the Langsett Valley at the northern tip of the peak district, the original structure was nothing more than four walls and a tin roof.

The ground floor level was lowered and the roof structure was raised, with additional courses of stone work laid, to make up the height of the walls. This work was necessary to create two storeys of reasonable living height.

There were a few problems with the local planning authority, but nothing that a 'creative' approach to the regulations, couldn't deal with.

You will see the garage doors are of unique design and this individualist approach was carried throughout the whole of the conversion works.
